Formed in 2010 as a solo project of Niko Nyman under the name "Winterheim". When he started to gather a​
live line-up, Niko decided that Winterheim is no longer a solo project, but a real band. Niko found Janne Aarto for the lead​
guitar via finnish website "muusikoiden.net" which is a webforum for musicians. Niko also asked his friend Eetu Mellin​
from Nihil Mortum to be a drummer. During this time Winterheim was located in Hämeenlinna.​
When Niko had go to the army on january 2012 everything stopped. Niko wasn't able to practice and Winterheim had to give up their​
rehearsal place. How ever Niko and Janne recorded homemade demo called "overture" and it was released only on the internet.​
Niko moved to Kerava during his army and it was time to make changes. Eetu wasn't able to be drummer anymore. Anyhow during Nikos​
armytime he composed some new material. After Niko was done with the army everything just started to roll. In less than a month​
he found a rehearsal place, new drummer and a keyboardist. Also name was changed to "Winterthroned" during summer 2012.

October 2013 : ​The first EP : Battle, Honor, Victory is out !
